TARANAKI WOMEN’S REPRESENTATIVE HEAD COACH
Taranaki Cricket Association (TCA) is one of eight Districts that form Central Districts Cricket Association. TCA has a proud history in women’s cricket with several former White Ferns representatives coming from the province, and our women’s team is known as a strong performer in the Mike Shrimpton Trophy, contested by CD district association teams.
We are looking for a Women’s Head Coach to lead our Bartercard Taranaki women’s team to the next level – building and driving a successful team environment and working with players within the team to achieve their potential and aspirations.
The coach will be expected to work closely with TCA’s Director of Cricket to deliver the required coaching and development programmes. The coach will be expected to plan and run team practices and be available to attend all matches as well as giving players the required one on one and technical support to enable them to achieve their goals.
A background in building successful sports team cultures and environments will be an advantage and applicants should hold a minimum NZC Level 2 coaching qualification or the equivalent of.
This role will commence in September 2025 and conclude at the end of the Women’s Representative season in February.
Applicants for this position must be a NZ citizen or hold a valid NZ residency or work visa.

JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVE COACHES & MANAGERS
Do you have a deep love for the sport of cricket and a desire to inspire young talents? We are excited to announce that we are now accepting expressions of interest for coaches and managers of our Taranaki junior representative cricket teams for the 2025/26 season!
We want to hear from you if:
- You possess excellent coaching skills, a strong understanding of the game, and the ability to motivate and nurture young players.
- You are an excellent organiser, work well with young people and love keeping things running smoothly to ensure successful on field outcomes.
Join us in fostering the next generation of cricket stars and helping them reach their full potential on the pitch. We have four head coaching and four manager roles to fill: Girls Year 9/10, Girls Year 11-13, Boys Year 10 and Boys 11/12.

Do you love getting away from the desk and sharing your passions and skills for the game of cricket out in the community? Do you want to help our Taranaki youngsters grow into skilled players on the field and well-rounded and confident off it?
Taranaki Cricket seek expressions of interest from coaches to fill the following position(s):
SUMMER SQUAD CASUAL COACHING
You’ll be assisting our Cricket Development Officers in delivering TCA’s summer coaching programmes.
Casual hours available October to March.
Minimum Level 1 Coaching Certificate preferred.
