Taranaki Cricket adopted the Sport New Zealand ‘Balance is Better’ Philosophy from the start of the 2021/2022 season. ‘Balance is Better’ is an evidence-based philosophy to support quality sport experiences for all young people, regardless of ability, needs and motivations. It is about young people staying involved in sport for life and realising their potential at the right time.

Taranaki Cricket will be focusing on providing everyone an opportunity within the primary age group with the first representative teams being the Year 9 & 10 Boys and Girls.
